Welcome

I have formed this website to show my experiences and "adventures" while exploring  and photographing cinema buildings old and new over the past years. 

It will be a work in progress and I will always be adding to and changing the content so it will be interesting to anyone wanting to return from time to time.
 
I have lived in Newport South Wales all of my life and over the last few decades Have seen the remaining city centre cinemas in my hometown  close for good and fall into disrepair.

The Odeon Newport located at Clarence Place and The ABC Cinema on Bridge Street are two of the cinemas in Newport which are still standing as buildings but are no longer used as cinemas.

I have written something about my experiences of these two cinemas over the last few decades within the pages of this website.

The site is called Wales Vintage Cinemas and I am going to include cinemas from all over Wales that I have photographed. However, the site is not going to be exclusively about Welsh Cinemas. I will be including many pages about cinemas across the whole of the U.K.
